Participation in a Research Study

Study Title: A Study on AI Generated Advisory Badges for Charts
 
GENERAL INFORMATION:
You are invited to take part in a research study about how people perceive data charts.
In this study, you will see several charts about everyday topics. For each chart, we will ask you a few questions about how you perceive it and how much you trust it. The study will take about 20-25 minutes.
 
RISKS RELATED TO YOUR PARTICIPATION:
Your participation in this study should not induce significant risks or harms. In case you feel uncomfortable, exhausted or require a break feel free to interrupt the study at any point.
 
RIGHT TO WITHDRAW WITHOUT PREJUDICE:
Your participation in this project is entirely voluntary. You can also withdraw from the study at any time, without consequence, without having to give a reason. If you withdraw from the study, all documents related to your participation will be deleted.
 
DATA PROTECTION AND CONFIDENTIALITY:
The participation in this project involves the collection of demographic data (e.g., age or gender), subjective evaluations (e.g., perceived user experience or usability) or interaction metrics (e.g., completion time or number of errors).

The data collected from you will only be saved and evaluated for the purpose of carrying out the study and the presentation of the results. Only data that is necessary and relevant for the evaluation of the study is asked for. After the experiment/study, you will have the option to receive detailed information about the collected data. In case you are interested, please ask the experimenter after the study.
